February 12, 2009The truth is I’ve been avoiding you.
I’ve been harboring a delicious secret, and the only way I knew to keep it quiet was to keep away. But now, my friends, I’m ready to share some news:
I’m 12 weeks pregnant!
I had a sneaking suspicion I was long before I took the test, but Rama and I confirmed it with two pregnancy tests the morning of his birthday. We shared the news with my family on Christmas Day. And it has been s l o w l y sinking in ever since.
I am over the moon with joy. And a little nervous. And a bit exhausted. Mostly, though, I’m so very excited to meet the little being growing inside me.
There is so much that I could say about it all, that in time I’m sure I will, but for now, I just had to spill the beans.

I run a darling, friendly, little graphic design studio.
I look on the bright side.
I take photos. Lots of photos.
I wish on stars and on websites.
I built my first web site 7 years ago and got 15 seconds of fame. (It changed my life.)
I launched, then relaunched, an online magazine.
I admitted to several embarrassing crushes.
I consumed more bacon than any human should and lived to tell the tales.
oh my! Congratulations Christine :) it’s so weird and good at the same time to share this news with you – I’ve been reading your blog for awhile now, even before Rama.. and now a child :) what a wonderful news! Get lot’s of rest and good food :)
