back to work
October 14, 2009It’s my first full day back at work, and I’m taking a coffee break to say hello. Thanks to Rama who is watching over the little babe while I sit in my sunroom studio, and thanks to my mom who will be doing the same two days a week.
Pregnancy really sapped my creative energy, but I am feeling all kinds of inspired again. Of course, I don’t have nearly as much time now to do everything I want, but maybe the urgency I feel will make up for that. I have a feeling I will make the most of the time that I do have. Every second counts.
And with that said, back to work—

I look on the bright side.
I take photos. Lots of photos.
I wish on stars and on websites.
I built my first web site 7 years ago and got 15 seconds of fame. (It changed my life.)
I launched, then relaunched, an online magazine.
I admitted to several embarrassing crushes.
I consumed more bacon than any human should and lived to tell the tales.
considering how much work i get done when you are taking care of the spit-up monkey and how little time that really is, i think this baby will transform us into masters of time and space and, when he finally leaves us for the college of his choice, we will actually be able to travel back in time to these very days and laugh at all the diapers we had to change.
