last hurrahs

August 20, 2008

This week, I’ve been squeezing in some last bits of summer. Over the weekend, Rama and I took a morning swim. Yesterday, I indulged in a tangerine (scented and hued) pedi. And tonight, I’ll cut into what may be the last watermelon of the season. I know that the summer temperatures will remain for many more weeks to come, but with Rama back at school and some friends moving out of town, I can’t help but feel like summer is over. So, goodbye, summer. I miss you already.
