kryptonite days

June 5, 2007

I’m the weirdest combination of bleary-eyed and antsy. There is just so much going on, like wrapping up web projects and making art for another show and helping out my family. All before Rama and I go to the Philippines in 10 (oh my gosh, 10!) days.

Today brought a lovely respite from it all in the form of a visit with my dear friend Tonia and her 1-year-old daughter Josie. There were tea lattés and freshly baked lemon cookies, sippy cups and stacking cups, running around and climbing on tables, The Incredibles and Baby Einstein, and a whole lot of laughing.

After they left, I felt a fire under my butt to get stuff done, but once I actually sat down to work, the fire was squashed gone. Which I guess was bound to happen. After all, I’m only human. And right now, the aches and heavy eyelids and pains and goosebumps are very palpable reminders of that.

i heart you also, hard worker.

  3. Claire says:

Before trips are the worst. Also, when you get back is also difficult. But so, so worth it! Don’t worry, you’ll get it all done.

  4. Swirly says:

You are a rock star…those lemon cookies sound lovely!
