the portrait party
February 22, 2008It’s a proud day in the Hughes household because Rama’s in the press! His portrait project, The Portrait Party, has been featured in the April 2008 issue of The Artist’s Magazine. Check it out. You may even find portraits of and by a certain wife.
What makes The Portrait Party so amazing, I think, is how Rama’s love of drawing shines through. He doesn’t ask you to be brilliant, he just asks you to create. His enthusiasm is contagious and encouraging, and as a result, you have people who never thought they could draw churning out a dozen portraits in a week. It’s so cool.
We’re hosting our first real, live portrait party with a handful of friends next week, and I can’t wait.
