Author/Illustrator/Boyfriend

May 6, 2005

Rama isn’t just one of my favorite artists. He’s also one of my favorite writers. His stories have captivated me as long as I’ve known him. His writing is always thoughtful, often humorous and wonderfully imaginative. I love the way he sees the world and how he perfectly captures that worldview with words.

So you can bet I’m extra-especially proud of him this month because, in addition to illustrating the cover of Cicada Magazine and one of its poems, Rama wrote and illustrated a delightful essay about an experience he had while living on a farm.

If you have the chance, check it out at your local bookstore. The magazine is geared toward teenagers, but the story he wrote rings true for people of all ages.
