squam eve

September 9, 2008

It’s 1-something in the morning and I’m still up. Although my body is completely beat, my brain is wide awake, and I can’t stop thinking about Squam as if I were a kid anxious for Christmas.

What can I say? I’m excited.

I am looking forward to unplugging my computer for almost a whole week and focusing my eyes on the trees and the lake and the stars. I am looking forward to leaving my car in the carport and hiking up and down hilly trails. I am looking forward to making friends and making messes. And I am looking forward to storytelling and secret sharing and full-bellied laughter, because it has been way too long.
