a moment

April 17, 2007

I have been so busy getting ready for the workshops—including all the kinds of prep that you do when you’re about to go out of town for four days, getting ahead with work and doing laundry and figuring out what to pack—that I haven’t had time or energy for much of anything else.

But I am trying to make time. Stealing moments to laugh with Rama, to read magazines, to bake cookies, to take naps. Little things that help me get through the day.

I need to find that amazing calm I discovered a year ago—I can’t believe that was a year ago—and loosen my grip on everything I can’t control.

I need to sleep.
