a few of my favorite things
March 20, 2007Over the weekend, I tempted Becky and Rama to take a break from their weekend to-do lists and indulge with me in two of my favorite things: ice cream and art supplies. It was so much fun.
We wandered the art store like kids in a candy shop, meeting in the aisles every so often to compare our finds. I spent half a gift card, buying supplies I don’t normally use because, well, because I could. Then, we crossed the street to Milk, a sparkling new café that serves sundaes, milkshakes, malts, ice cream sandwiches and tiny ice cream bon-bons—all crafted with homemade ice cream. Yum. At our last stop, a little store jam-packed with pretty paper products, we saw one of Rama’s wallets. Like a proud wife, I asked Rama to pose with his creation and snapped a shot to send home.
I can’t speak for Rama and Becky, but it was just the kind of outing I’d been needing. The sweets, color and laughter shared fed my hungry soul.

I consumed more bacon than any human should and lived to tell the tales.

Too late, you’ve already spoken for me because we have such similar interests. Invite me out for a day of sweets, paper and art supplies and I’m there! It was just what I had been needing too :)
