Christmas in August
August 25, 2004Thank you to all you kind and lovely souls who have sent little and huge pieces of mail over the past month or two. I went to my p.o. box this morning and walked away with an armful of beautiful thick envelopes and packages. I felt like the most popular girl at the post office.
Bobby, the postmaster, knows that I don’t check my mail often enough. In fact, I feel like every time I do go, my half-yearly rent is due again. But there’s a benefit to letting the mail pile up: I get my very own Christmas in the middle of August.
