So I take it bit by bit, one slow thing at a time.<\/p>\n<p>I go to a bakery after a post office run. I glance at the registry check list while I eat my lunch. I look at apartment listings before running back out again. I take deep breaths and say prayers that the evil <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/096638704X\">Bridezilla<\/a> spirit will stay the hell away.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You&#8217;re doing really well!&#8221; Rima says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Really?&#8221; I ask. &#8220;I feel like my head might implode.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>(Half-kidding.)<\/p>\n<p>I never really daydreamed about my wedding the way some girls do, but I have to admit I am enjoying the process. Even the uncomfortable, messy and stressful parts.<\/p>\n<p>And last week, our parents met for the first time and it was nothing like <a href=\"http:\/\/imdb.com\/title\/tt0290002\/\">a movie<\/a>. It was just good food, stories and laughter until the early morning.<\/p>\n<p>As much as I love thinking about the stationery, the flowers, the cake, <i>that&#8217;s<\/i> what it is to me. Our families. Our love. Our life.
