Maybe it&#8217;s the weather&#151;the coolness that inspires <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mightyleaf.com\/default.aspx\" title=\"vanilla bean is my favorite of late\">cups of tea<\/a> and <a href=\"alert('i am reveling in Narnia right now.');\" title=\"footnote\">a good book<\/a>. Maybe it&#8217;s the festivities that surround this time of year&#151;the baby showers, the birthday celebrations, the holidays that keep me driving all around town. Or maybe I&#8217;m just getting shy in my older age. I don&#8217;t like to talk as much as I used to.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the reason, I decided today I&#8217;d speak up. I&#8217;d say hi.<\/p>\n<p>So, hi.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m drinking a cup of afternoon coffee and printing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darlingshoppe.com\">holiday cards<\/a>. It&#8217;s 80-something degrees out, but I&#8217;ve got Christmas on the brain. I&#8217;ve already gotten a stash of gifts beneath my desk and a list of more to buy. It seems soon, I know, but a week from tomorrow is Thanskgiving, and we all know how Christmas always sneaks up <i>right after<\/i> that.
