It’s been quiet. I know, I know, I know.<\/i><\/p>\n

I have to admit I’ve kind of enjoyed the silence. I’ve had a lot of thinking, planning and dreaming to do, and it’s been nice doing it in the comfort of my own head and heart. But I think I’m ready to share my days with you, again.<\/p>\n

And oh, what days I’ve had! I have some good news and some ridiculously good news for you. Are you ready?<\/p>\n

The good news is I have taken the big leap into self-employment. I have been a fulltime darling designer<\/a> for about a month now, and I love it. I feel like I get to play all day long, and I get to do it with amazing people.<\/p>\n

The ridiculously good news is that Rama and I are engaged. He proposed to me on our 2-year anniversary—we spent it in Portland, Oregon at the beautiful Kennedy School—and of course I said yes. Words can’t express how thrilled and grateful I am to be marrying such a dreamboat.<\/p>\n

Part of me has been bursting to tell you this news, but another part of me has been scared to break the silence. I’m still getting used to the idea of being my own boss and somebody’s bride-to-be. It’s like I’m a whole new person. Except I’m still the same.<\/p>\n

Anyway, now that those cats are out of the bag, I plan on writing more—and more often. I may not have any big news for a while, but I’ll always have stories to tell.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
