The doctors say her health, <i>her life,<\/i> could go either way. Nobody knows. She&#8217;s been asking for my mom, her only daughter, to come, so Mom leaves today for the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m trying not to assume the worst but still be ready for anything, and it&#8217;s hard. I have been a mess of worry and sadness all week.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who knows me knows I love my grandma.
