Nevermind that they are a lot of fun live, as witnessed at Spaceland on Friday. Nevermind that the first stanza of <i>Red, Right Ankle<\/i> makes me ridiculously happy and I can&#8217;t stop humming it.<\/p>\n<p>No, nevermind that. They have good taste, too.<\/p>\n<p>The band&#8217;s sound goes hand-in-hand with the aesthetics of illustrator <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carsonellis.com\">Carson Ellis<\/a>. Ellis&#8217;s artwork is all over the band&#8217;s CD covers, T-shirts and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.decemberists.com\">website<\/a>, and it&#8217;s beautiful. Not to mention that her cursive handwriting makes me swoon.
