kryptonite days
June 5, 2007I’m the weirdest combination of bleary-eyed and antsy. There is just so much going on, like wrapping up web projects and making art for another show and helping out my family. All before Rama and I go to the Philippines in 10 (oh my gosh, 10!) days.
Today brought a lovely respite from it all in the form of a visit with my dear friend Tonia and her 1-year-old daughter Josie. There were tea lattés and freshly baked lemon cookies, sippy cups and stacking cups, running around and climbing on tables, The Incredibles and Baby Einstein, and a whole lot of laughing.
After they left, I felt a fire under my butt to get stuff done, but once I actually sat down to work, the fire was squashed gone. Which I guess was bound to happen. After all, I’m only human. And right now, the aches and heavy eyelids and pains and goosebumps are very palpable reminders of that.
I heart you. :)
i heart you also, hard worker.
Before trips are the worst. Also, when you get back is also difficult. But so, so worth it! Don’t worry, you’ll get it all done.
You are a rock star…those lemon cookies sound lovely!
