i did hear something in the middle of the night -- the crunching of Cs and Ks and Rs, but i thought it was my old bed creaking and my dreamwaves crashing. then this morning i woke up and found these crumbs on my pillow. they looked like apostrophes and quotation marks, but i just figured it was settling dust.
